If Outlook is NOT able to start in safe mode, then try the next proposed solution below, entitled Create a new Outlook profile. Starting Outlook in safe mode, which starts Outlook without add-ins loaded, can tell you if an add-in is the source of the problem. Try these troubleshooting steps in the order presented here, from simple to more complicated.
Should you decide to remove a profile, back up the data files first. All offline cached content will be deleted when you choose Remove. For more information, see Introduction to https://sites.google.com Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost). A corrupted profile, a damaged PST file, faulty add-ins, or improper Outlook startup settings often cause this issue.
However, if you want to change your password with your email provider, you'll need to visit their website or help desk, or contact your email administrator. For example, if you have a Yahoo! account, you first have to change your password at Yahoo.com. Once you've changed your password with your email provider, you can update the password in Outlook.
